The Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is excited to make an announcement to local community and press on June 9th, at 10 am. The CVB will host a ribbon cutting and local campaign announcement at their location, 500 Church Street, across from the new Bryant Bank building. Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle and Madison County Commission Chairman Mike Gillespie will be among the attendees. In attendance will also be three local Chambers: the Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County, the North Alabama African American Chamber of Commerce and the Madison Chamber of Commerce.
“The CVB was established to create economic growth for Huntsville and Madison County by marketing the area as a top convention, meeting, trade show and visitor destination. With that purpose in mind, we want to remind our local corporations, churches, businesses and residents that they only need to look out their door for the best place to hold meetings and conventions,” states Yvonne Boyington, VP of Conventions.
Travelers currently spend in excess of $940 million a year in Madison County according to Alabama Tourism Department estimates.
