Homeowners in Anderson Hills say they are well on their way to recovering after the storm, but are running into a problem. They say one particular house in the neighborhood looks the same as it did when it was hit on April 27, 2011 and they want it fixed. The homeowners asked WHNT NEWS 19 to take action!
Homeowners in Anderson Hills say almost all of the homes in their subdivision touched by a tornado on April 27 were rebuilt, or are under construction.
Homeowner Jenny Reed says there is one exception.
"There's a house at 107 Waterbury Drive that is an absolute disgrace for this neighborhood," said Reed.
Reed has lived in the Harvest community for 10 years.
"It's the worst mess I have ever seen. It's just trashy. There is furniture on ground with windows that are shattered. It looks like it is falling in more every day. It's really a disgrace, added Reed.
"It's kind of ugly. I wish they could fix it soon like we did," said homeowner Lucia Parks.
The ladies along with others have complained to their homeowners association, Madison County Commissioner and the person who lived at 107 Waterbury Drive.
"This guy, as I understand, lives in Washington. Maybe he doesn't care, but everybody else out here cares," added Reed.
