Huntsville Fire & Rescue worked 2 1/2 hours Friday to put out an apartment fire on Lincoln Street.  The fire started around 3:30 a.m. at Lincoln Square Apartments, which is between Holmes Avenue & Clinton Avenue.

A resident's apartment filled with smoke, and that is when 911 was called.  When Huntsville Fire & Rescue arrived, crews saw flames shooting through the roof.  A total of 7 fire trucks were called to the scene.
