State Sen. Roger Bedford of Russellville says he's received lots of encouragement to seek Paul Hubbert's job as leader of the Alabama Education Association, but he plans to stay in the state Senate.

Bedford said Thursday he believes he can best serve Alabama citizens in his current position.
