A Huntsville group is organizing a march on the state capital to bring awareness to the plight of children affected by the new immigration law.
The National Association for the Prevention of Starvation (NAPS) is reaching out to area colleges and others concerned about children for Sunday's march in Montgomery.
About 200 people so far are expected to take part in the march, according to Mia Pile of NAPS. She also said NAPS does not endorse illegal immigrants but is concerned for the children involved.
"Anybody who (lives) in Alabama who is concerned about the children who will be affected by the implications of HB56 (the immigration law) is invited to come out to the march," Pile said.
