Police have released the identity of a Morgan County woman who died in a two-vehicle crash late Monday.

Madison Police Lt. John Stringer said Nataliya Elliott, 41, of Lacey's Spring was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Madison Boulevard at Hughes Road.

Stringer said Elliott was southbound on Hughes in a 2004 Chevy Cavalier when she turned left onto Madison Boulevard around 11:30 p.m.

As she turned left her car was struck by a westbound 2000 Lincoln Continental driven by Leeartis Powell, 47, of Madison.

Powell was taken to an area hospital but released later.

Stringer said investigators had not yet determined who was at fault in the crash.
