Huntsville police have charged a man in connection with the robbery of a home improvement store on Jan 28.

In a statement spokesman Harry Hobbs said Lateef Friend, 42, was arrested Monday night for robbing the Home Depot at 1305 North Memorial Parkway.

A security officer tried to keep Friend from leaving and was cut on the arm.

Friend was booked into the county jail on a charge of first-degree robbery. He was being held on a $60,000 bond.
